Contribution of the NanoSen-AQM project for the 5th Experiment@ International Conference – exp.at’19

Contribution of the NanoSen-AQM project for the 5th Experiment@ International Conference – exp.at’19

The NanoSen-AQM project of the Interreg-Sudoe program will actively participate in the 5th Experiment@ International Conference – exp.at’19. The conference is a joint organisation of University of Porto and University of Coimbra with the collaboration of University of Madeira, will be held at the University of Madeira, Funchal, Madeira Island, Portugal, from June 12 to 14, 2019. exp.at’19 has the technical support of IEEE (IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and IEEE Education Society) and the Portuguese Engineers Association.

Members of some of the project partners will attend the conference and contribute to the following two main activities:

– Workshop “Real-Time Air Quality Monitoring via an Online Platform Supported by Low-Cost Nanosensors”;

– exp.at’19 Special Track AQM’19 “Air Quality Monitoring”.

Workshop:

The Workshop will be led by Esther Hontañón (ITFI-CSIC, Spain), Filipe Araújo (CISUC-DEI-UC, Portugal), Jesús Lozano (EII-UEx, Spain), Philippe Menini (LAAS-CNRS, UPS-T3, France) and Lionel Presmanes (CIRIMAT UMR CNRS 5085, UPS-T3, France). It will be held on the Portuguese Engineers Order – Madeira Region (Funchal), on June  11, 18:00-19:30.

The Workshop includes the presentation of the main objectives of the NanoSen-AQM project and the main current achievements in the development of nanosensors, the electronic components, the online platform based on a cloud system and the mobile application, the demonstration of the current prototypes, and the discussion about the use of this system in different scenarios and the possibility of incorporating data from other existent sensors of environmental monitoring systems.

It is expected to be an opportunity to disseminate the project results to companies, engineers and conference participants.

Special Track:

The AQM’19 Special Track will be chaired by Esther Hontañón (ITFI-CSIC, Spain), Catarina Silva (CISUC-DEI-UC, Portugal), Jesús Lozano (EII-UEx, Spain) and Lionel Presmanes (CIRIMAT UMR CNRS 5085, UPS-T3, France). It will consist of 2 sessions with the presentation of 9 articles, 5 of them from NanoSen-AQM partners.

The session will take place at the Rectory of the University of Madeira (Funchal), on June 14, 2019, 09:00-10:20 and 14:30-16:30.

The articles will be published in the Proceedings of the exp.at’19 Conference in the IEEE Xplore platform.

These sessions will be an important forum for presenting and disseminating the project results and for exchanging ideas and approaches with conference participants.
