Air pollution is a major cause of premature death and disease, and it is the single largest environmental health risk in Europe, contributing to more than 400,000 premature deaths each year. Prolonged exposure to pollutants can cause diabetes, lung disease and cancer, and early evidence suggests air pollution may be linked to higher death rates among COVID-19 patients.
During the two-day event we had the opportunity to learn about the work that several entities develop around Europe on the air quality topic.
For two days we shared about the topic air quality in Europe, we had the opportunity to learn about the work that several entities develop around Europe on the air quality topic, stating that to measure and assure a good air quality is one of the most important challenges that Europe is nowadays facing.
