Last October in Coimbra (Portugal) took place the 3rd NanoSen-AQM project meeting

Last October 2019 took place in Coimbra the 3rd Project Meeting of the NanoSen-AQM. The aim of the meeting was to follow up the project and evaluate it in its middle stage.

There are already some prototypes of nano sensors being tested in the lab, and during the following next months they will be adjusted to fulfil the requirements needed to measure the contaminants selected in the project: CO, O3 and NO2.

On the other hand, there have been designed and developed some electronic systems with commercial sensors on PM and gases CO, O3 and NO2. They were installed near official air quality stations to perform several different monitoring campaigns. The results showed some divergences in some pollutants that will be corrected during the re-definition of the algorithms to read the data.

Regarding the cloud platform, there has been developed an app and a web to access to the air quality data provided by an external service. The App can be already downloaded and it is possible to check the data via Web-platform as well.

The partners discussed also about the following air quality awareness campaigns that will take place during 2020, to define its scope and specific technical issues.

Finally, there was proposed the topic for the next Workshop, that will take place during the second week of April 2020 in Ávila and will focus on “air quality in rural areas”. More information will come later through our social media.
